The hotly anticipated release of the first new Harry Potter story in years.
The eighth Harry Potter story, set Nineteen years later than the Deathly Hallows, is the first official Harry Potter story to be presented on stage.
The Special Rehearsal Edition Script goes on sale July 31st, after the play has its world premiere in London’s West End on July 30th.
This volume is eagerly awaited and the worldwide embargo lifts on the 31st at the same time across the globe. In Australia that means:
EAST COAST 9.01am Sunday 31st July
SA & NT 8.31am Sunday 31st July
WA 7.01am Sunday 31st July
The excitement is widely shared and there are currently over NINETY bookstores around Australia that are hosting book launch events and parties to celebrate.
I would recommend heading in to your local bookshop to get involved in the excitement.
I know that my Miss 12 and I are heading in to pick up our separate copies first thing Sunday morning…. we changed all our plans to fit it in too.
Much as I would love to put all of the party details right here at your fingertips, there are a few too many stores partying for that. I will do the next best thing and link you to a site that has them all gathered together, and where you can search by state to find your nearest party.
To find your closest Cursed Child event check out: harrypotterscriptbook.com.au
For details of the actual events you will need to contact the store direct, and some events require an RSVP.
You can still pre-order your copy of this Special Rehearsal Edition, or be on hand at any of the partying locations come Sunday. I’m sure they will also be at all of your regular favoured booksellers. This Special Rehearsal Edition will be available until early 2017, after which time a Definitive Edition of the script will go on sale.
How excited are you for the new Harry Potter???
My blurb went missing… so now I have to bring you a new one. One that is a little broader too.
I devour books, vampires and supernatural creatures are my genre of choice but over the past couple of years I have broadened my horizons considerably.
I inhale music, hair metal that satisfies my inner bogan is where my musical passion lies, but again I’ve been exposed to lots of different music I wouldn’t normally listen to and have broadened those horizons also.
In a nutshell – I love to write! I love interacting with a diverse range of artists to bring you interviews.
Perhaps we were perfect before – I LOVE WORDS! Reading, writing, speaking, listening – if it’s got words I’m there!
