Sam Moran is best known for his role as the yellow Wiggle, the role that has won him the hearts of millions of children and their parents since 2006.
Late in January Sam lost the role quite unexpectedly and has received an outpouring of love and support for the generation of children and parents who have grown up with Sam as the yellow Wiggle.
He also appeared at the launch of a series of books by good friend and former Dorothy the Dinosaur Aimee Atkins, as he had agreed long before the controversy arose.
This video shows Sam speaking to the press for the first time since the shock announcement that saw him hang up his yellow skivvy and move on. If the video is anything to go by I think we can safely say that he has the support of the children and they will be more than happy to follow him in whatever direction his new ventures take him.
The beautiful day in the park wasn’t all about Sam though, they were gathered to launch the Billy’s Boatshed series of books by long time friend Aimee Atkins. Sam made sure the focus was on Billy and his cast of characters, declining to comment on the situation with the Wiggles.
For now, Sam is soaking up some well earned family time and then who knows what the future will bring. He has a great voice which is well known across the world so I’m sure it’s all there for the taking and millions of children are eagerly awaiting his next venture.
