And Now, Back to You by B.K. Borison is a story of romance, family and standing up for yourself.
Jackson Clark, a radio weather forecaster, is predictable, likes order and comfortable in his radio booth. He has custody of his 15 year old twin sisters, who he loves and would do anything for.
Delilah Stewart, a TV weather forecaster, is spontaneous, fun and adventurous. Delilah’s boss doesn’t take her seriously, sending her on lots of crazy assignments. This is rather frustrating for Delilah, as after all, she is a trained meteorologist.
Jackson and Delilah think they have nothing in common other than both being meteorologists. Their only contact has been post-it notes on each other’s cars about parking disputes.
Now the pair are being sent to the mountains to jointly cover a freak weather event.
Prior to leaving, they discover they may have more in common than they believed. They both have scars and bruises emotionally from their pasts. A pact is made. Delilah will help Jackson find his fun side, and Jackson will help Delilah become a serious weather presenter.
Throw in a cosy lodge in the stunning mountains, a terrifying snow storm and not everything going to plan, the scene is set for unexpected chemistry. Could their friendship lead to romance, and what will happen when they return to their lives in the city?
The story contains important topics. Dementia, employment issues, family issues, anxiety, and more are portrayed in a supportive and relatable way.
Jackson, Delilah and all the supporting characters are wonderful. The romance is definitely a case of opposites attract, mixed with humour.
The book is a great read.

I love to read, any book on any topic. I now love ebooks as they are easier to store, I was running out of bookshelves! My other interests are family, gardening and our beautiful King Charles spaniel dog who is my reading companion.

I don’t really think of myself as a romance reader, but a good rom com can always suck me in. Here Borison has given me just that: a charming story, perfectly balanced between heart and humor.
This is the second in a lightly linked series – which is to say, characters recur in a shared setting, but each book has a stand alone story. I hadn’t read the first but had no trouble at all following or enjoying this one.
It’s very much an opposites attract situation: Jackson is buttoned up and predictable, neat and tidy and committed to his routines. Delilah is disorganized and chaotic and rarely predictable. Both share a passion for the weather, however, and both are good at their jobs forecasting it, Jackson for a radio station and Delilah for a local TV station.
As a publicity stunt, the two are forced to travel together to a slightly isolated lodge to report on a huge snowstorm. Both have their reasons for accepting the assignment, despite significant reservations.
Borison absolutely piles on the tropes, with forced proximity (she doubles down on that one), isolation, oops there’s only one bed, and opposites attract. She does it with charm and style, and I can’t see many romance readers objecting.
Romances usually fail or work based on the characters, and here Borison hands us two who are sympathetic, recognisable, and believable. Both have their quirks, but it’s not so over the top as to be irritating. I could see myself being friends with either, and the result is that it’s easy for the reader to cheer them on and want to see them together.
I did quirk an eyebrow at some of the things that various characters did in a work situation, but hey, it made for a good story even if it’s not completely believable. The story is well paced and the writing style smooth and undemanding.
I enjoyed reading this. It’s diverting and fun, with just a dash of real emotion. Even if you only enjoy romance occasionally, I think you’ll enjoy this.
