August 14th was the big day for the Traitor Spy Trilogy grand finale in Australia, a little later than the UK.
The UK release of the book, WOW! It went straight to number #1, which is super exciting in itself but to top it off the sales in the first 4 days were pretty fantastic.
Little, Brown published the book in the UK and in those 4 days this book became the company’s bestselling e-book for that period of time selling 4890 copies, in that same time period 5101 hardback copies were sold.
The Traitor Queen is the final volume in the bestselling Traitor Spy trilogy which began with The Ambassador’s Mission and continued with The Rogue.
Lorkin returns from his exile with traitor rebels and events are building to a climax in Sachaka. He has been tasked with the huge responsibility of negotiating a union between his people and the Traitors. He has also found it necessary to become a feared black magician capable of harnessing the power of an entirely new kind of gemstone magic, knowledge that could leave Lorkin an outcast eternally, or transform the Guild of Magicians.
Trudi Canavan is the last decade’s bestselling new fantasy writer with her last five books Sunday Times bestsellers. Both The Ambassador’s Mission and The Rogue reached No. 2 on the Sunday Times list. The Black Magician Trilogy is rated by Nielsen BookScan as the most successful debut fantasy series of the last 10 years. The Magician’s Apprentice, the prequel, won the Best Fantasy Novel category of the Aurealis Awards on its release in 2009 and the sequel trilogy has also fared well on the bestseller lists.
All of which speaks volumes to me of the quality and entertainment value that will be within the covers of The Traitor Queen.
Get your copy now and immerse yourself in Trudi Canavan’s world of the Black Magician Trilogy.
The other thing I really look forward to is finding out how our book sales go compared to the UK’s first week.

I devour books, vampires and supernatural creatures are my genre of choice but over the past couple of years, I have broadened my horizons considerably. In a nutshell – I love to write! I love interacting with a diverse range of artists to bring you interviews. Perhaps we were perfect before – I LOVE WORDS!
