50 Shades of Grey is still a huge topic of conversation, and hotly debated. The news that it will be made into a movie seems to have just reheated the debate, if it actually was beginning to wane.
Personally, I have actually stayed right away from the whole debate and no, I haven’t read it though that is a question I hear quite often of late. What I have noticed is that there doesn’t seem to be any ambivalence, it definitely comes across as a love it or hate it series.
I have seen, heard, read many rave reviews about the absolutely fantastic must read 50 Shades Trilogy – every woman has to read it.
Also, I have seen, heard, read many comments about the absolutely terrible example it sets, it’s degrading to women, it sends the wrong message – much of which could possibly have come from people who haven’t actually read the book.
But now that I’ve wandered off to do a little more research there is an awful lot of this is rubbish, plain and simple I can’t believe I wasted the time and I want those hours of my life back.
I haven’t read it, and at this point I don’t know that I have any intention of doing so. But I am a big believer in that everyone has different tastes and opinions so if I am asked I will say that I have heard lots of good and lots of bad things so you really have to make your own decision.
