The Weigh It Up team have spent the last few months cooking up a storm and creating these fabulous figure friendly recipes that are going to be a treat to try.

All of the recipes compiled for this edition are simple to make which makes them perfect for busy families juggling hectic schedules. Unlike many recipe books the ingredients required to create these tasty dishes are things you will have in your pantry already. There is nothing worse than picking a scrumptious looking meal out of a recipe book and then having to spend the next week chasing down elusive ingredients. Any that you don’t happen to have on hand will be easily sourced from your local market or supermarket.

Weigh It Up – Winter Warmers also includes insights from Barbara Macciolli, who is the resident Allergy Friendly Cooking Expert, so you are sure to find suggestions for substitutes in recipes that need to be nut or diary allergy friendly.

Breakfast options include cooked breakfasts for a happy and healthy start to your morning and the recipe book includes Sample Menus for the best way to kickstart your  journey into better health.

Interspersed throughout the pages and between the recipes are pages that include a little bit of info about the product, this helps you to understand why there are certain ingredients we should be including in our diet more.

This recipe book even has a section up the back for sweets and desserts that have been modified to reduce the fat and sugar while retaining flavour.

Even better than that! On first opening the recipe book there is a double spread on wines – Wines that are Low GI and low in Calories but with the same full fruit flavour and slightly less alcohol content.

I haven’t had the chance to actually try any of the recipes yet but I can guarantee they are going to be super tasty. I can’t wait! And I will be sure to come by and tell you how it went.
