Touched By Divine Love is the story of one woman’s spiritual transformation and the way she turned her life around, we were able to find out a little more about her journey.
Hi Samantha, welcome to Beauty and Lace.
What made you want to be a writer?
Writing has always been a way for me to express my thoughts and feelings, which began in the form of poetry. As I began making changes in my life, and documenting my experiences, the aptitude for writing rose to the surface and the words just seemed to flow. I’m extremely glad I made this discovery, as writing is now one of my major passions in life.
Can you tell us a little about Touched By Divine Love?
It is a book based on my own experiences of spiritual transformation, and the part the metaphysical world played in my life. I explain how after a personal tragedy where my daughter died during delivery, I ended up having an experience that lead to monumental life changes. It details the different aspects of personal and spiritual transformation that one might experience.
You have moved around a lot, what made you settle in Melbourne?
I met a man! A wonderful Australian who was on a working holiday visa in the UK. As his visa was coming to an end I was faced with the decision to either let him go, or join him. I made the best decision of my life and chose the latter.
Can you tell us a little about what lead you to write Touched By Divine Love?
When I first began my journey of self-discovery I couldn’t find any individual book that gave me an overview of each change I was experiencing. I found books on individual subjects, but couldn’t find one that I could refer to without having to delve through lots of other books. I realised that I couldn’t be the only person that felt this way, which was confirmed as people began coming to me for advice. As a result, I penned Touched by Divine Love as a one-stop reference book about the fundamentals of metaphysical subjects.
What do you hope readers will gain from Touched By Divine Love?
I would like readers to gain a sense of achievement in the hard work involved in making what can at times feel like overwhelming life changes. That it’s OK to be different, we can live in society without conforming to peer pressure. That by accepting ourselves for who we are, we can free ourselves from our own fears. I would like readers to feel they can give themselves permission to really live their lives to the full.
Did you find the process of writing the book therapeutic?
The process of writing of my book was exceptionally therapeutic as I appeared to enter into a zen-like state, and all the stresses and pressures of daily life just seemed to leave me.
Do you plan to write any more books?
Yes, I’ve begun writing my second book, and although it’s still based around the metaphysical world, its style is different to Touched by Divine Love. At this stage in writing, it appears to be morphing into a book about one particular enlightening experience I had at the beginning of this year.
Can you tell us a little about the psychic gifts you possess?
I’ve developed a few gifts. As a clairvoyant, I can see things which are not usually visible to the naked eye, such as when I saw angels protecting our plane. I’m also clairsentient, which is where I am able to place my hands into a person’s aura and feel where they may have physical ailments or an injury. I also have the gift of clairaudience, where I am able to hear sounds or words from the spirit realm. For example I once scanned a girlfriend’s aura. As I was running my hand through her energy field, I came to her abdomen. My hand suddenly felt very hot and literally bounced away from her body. It indicated to me that there was a scar in that area of her body. I also kept hearing the words, “cervix” and “cysts” in my inner ear. Her shock was evident when I queried her, as she told me that she had not informed anyone outside her family that she had undergone laser surgery to remove cysts from her cervix.
How do you hope to help readers enhance their own gifts?
Touched by Divine Love is a comprehensive primer on metaphysical subjects, which is designed to encourage readers to begin investigating their own gifts. Some of the chapters give practical advice on how to begin discovering and enhancing their gifts.
What does being a woman mean to you?
There is a magnificence and strength about women that is undefinable. I think that we are the beautiful nurturers of society. We can be strong and yet vulnerable at the same time, and because of this we are not constrained in the same way men are.
